Early morning, disembark from the ferry and transfer to your hotel. After check in and time to freshen up, enjoy
breakfast at the hotel. A full day to enjoy exploring PATHEIN. The town is on the eastern bank of the Pathein (or Ngawan) River, about 190 km west of Yangon. Pathein is at the centre of a major rice-growing area and is therefore an important delta port. You will see many RICE MILLS and WAREHOUSES along the banks of the river. Pathein does not have any major "sights" - it is a pleasant town in which to wander the streets and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. Pathein doesn't see many tourists and the local people are friendly and welcoming. A walk along the scenic waterfront is interesting, and the local markets very colourful. The big catholic church is worth a visit, as is SHWEMOKHTAW Pagoda in the centre of town. Visit one of the UMBRELLA workshops on the edge of town. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants or hotel. An evening stroll through the town is interesting, especially through the night market. Accommodation at Hotel, Pathein.
